Of course seeing family again was the bestest thing of the whole trip but other than that and in no particular order....
- Sailing out to and around Robbin Island from Cape Town in the yacht with dolphins chasing alongside.
- The view of Table Mountain one evening with a crescent moon topped with Venus on one side and the comet sweeping down the sky on the other.
- The night of wonderful luxury at The Lord Milner Hotel in Matjiesfontain.....Victorian splendour.
- Getting pleasantly drunk at the vinyard at Groot Constantia.
- Eating the best seafood it is possible to get (Yellowtail with crayfish) at the Dunes
- Walking in the Ocean at Melkbosstrand
- Walking out onto the balcony at the Lodge in Natal to see the sunrise with the wildlife moving across the veld.
- Market day in the Zulu town of Pomeroy.
- Learning to surf at Jeffrey's Bay.
- Winning 4,800 Rand at the Casino.
A view to make me home sick.
On the road home from Bloemfontein
Back home all in one piece after a long spell which was glorious.
More later when I get my feet on the ground.
I can't believe that it is almost time to fly down south and follow the swallows! Saturday will see me in Amsterdam and by Monday I'll be on the way to Cape Town!
Busy packing and working out schedules, leaving post it notes all over the place for the man. But I know all will be well.
I will try to add to the blog whilst away but I know I'm going to be so so busy just fucking enjoying myself!
What are your resolutions for 2007?
Well here we go again! Although I reckon I did pretty well last year.
- I lost weight and my clothes from years back fit me
- I have got my piano skills back in enjoyable shape
- The returns from my investments and hard work have paid off.
So this year???
- Make myself relax more
- Keep my man
- Keep the house tidy....Mmmm hard one
- Take up riding once again.
- Try harder to shop locally for food and to recycle more of the household waste.
- Go through my wardrobe and make a bundle for the hospice charity shop.
- Make it to the hairdressers more often
So this time next year it will be a fitter, smarter girl who is relaxed and happily attached?
What is one of your addictions?

Shopping for beautiful clothes.....I admit it.
Have you ever secretly unwrapped a gift before the big day?

Yes.....I was a naughty child!
Good bits:
The presents are under the tree
The fridge is full
The wine rack is full
The logs are gathered in
I am ready for Christmas
Louise reports that the shops have exceeded budget totals (still 2 days to go)
Bad bits:
Someone stole the wreath from ny front door
It took a hour to get into town on the train (normally 12 minutes)
No loos were working on said train
Civilization is NOT advancing.
Are these beautiful or not? Please Santa!
All folks out there do have a wonderful Christmas!
